We are happy to announce the new WCCM App, available for Android and IOS devices. This new version brings many improvements to nurture on the path of Christian Meditation:- Layout enhancements

Peter Ng speaks on Meditation and its impact on leadership and management

The WCCM National Coordinator for Singapore, Peter Ng, spoke on meditation at an annual gathering of Singtel’s senior executives from around the world led by CEO Ms Chua Sock Koong, on 4 September. Singtel is a Singaporean telecommunications company.

Peter explained the basic teaching of meditation and led a meditation period with the group. He emphasized the transformative aspect of the practice: “Meditation is important because it is something that, if you practice with discipline, it will help you to come to self-awareness, self-knowledge, it will affect your life and it will be manifested in work.

Watch the talks on Contemplative Leadership by Laurence Freeman in Singapore

Laurence Freeman OSB spoke on “Contemplative Leadership: Rediscovering Good Work” at the Leadership Speaker Series, promoted by Far East Organization (the largest private property developer in Singapore). The event was held on the 23 August 2019, in Singapore with also the participation of Angelene Chan (CEO of DP Architects and very involved with the Bonnevaux project) and Peter Ng (WCCM Singapore Coordinator and member of the Executive Committee).

You can watch the videos of the talks by Fr Laurence and the panel discussion where Angelene and Peter also took part.

David’s Place: friendship and spiritual nourishment to the marginalised

David’s Place is an inner city space in Sydney, Australia, where homeless and marginalised can come to find friendship, peace, spiritual nourishment and connect with the wider community. David’s Place brings together both rich and poor, breaking down barriers in our city. Judi and Paul Taylor, both WCCM oblates, are part of the founders of David’s Place 20 years ago, including the gift of meditation as part of the activities.
